Evidence-Backed Verification™ evaluates the available evidence presented through approved verification pathways. It does not constitute a legal finding, judicial determination, or guarantee of historical completeness. The absence of confirmation through one pathway does not necessarily invalidate a submitted Professional Claim. Additional evidence may support or clarify the claim through alternative pathways.

The Problem

Most platforms force a binary choice:
private where no one can see it, or public where anyone can.

Professionals and creators need a third option — sharing sensitive, unreleased, or confidential evidence with exactly the right person, for a limited purpose, without making it public. Controlled Evidence Sharing™ provides that third option: permission-controlled access, authorized by you, logged for your record.

Who It’s For

Questions About Private & Permission-Controlled Evidence

What is Controlled Evidence Sharing™?

Controlled Evidence Sharing™ is a Credence Reputation Server™ capability that keeps your evidence private by default and lets you selectively authorize specific people — a manager, PR representative, media contact, employer, or collaborator — to view a defined evidence record under permission-controlled, logged access. You decide who can see what, and when.

How can I share exclusive evidence with a manager or PR representative?

Create a Credence evidence record, keep it private, and issue an authorized access identifier (CRS Access Number™) to the specific person you want to review it. The recipient can view the evidence you have authorized according to the visibility permissions you set. Nothing is public, and no one else can locate the record merely because they know your name.

Can my evidence remain private?

Yes. Evidence in Credence Reputation Server™ is private by default. It is not published, indexed, or made searchable unless you explicitly authorize a disclosure. Private evidence is preserved without any public display.

What is a CRS Access Number™?

A CRS Access Number™ is an authorized access identifier that lets a specific recipient view a defined Credence evidence record according to the permissions you set. It is not a public identifier and does not make your record discoverable. You control who receives it and what it unlocks.

Can I revoke access after sharing?

You control the visibility permissions on your evidence records. Authorized access can be managed through your record settings so that a recipient’s ability to view a record reflects your current authorization. Credence recommends reviewing your access permissions regularly.

Is embargoed or unreleased work protected?

Members can document unreleased work, embargoed information, and protected intellectual property in a private Credence record and share it only with authorized recipients under controlled access. Credence does not publish unreleased work and does not expose confidential contributions without your authorization.

Who can view permission-controlled evidence?

Only the people you explicitly authorize — for example, a manager, PR representative, media contact, employer, client, or collaborator — can view the evidence you have made available to them. Credence does not sell access and does not expose your evidence to third parties.

Does sharing evidence make it public?

No. Sharing through Controlled Evidence Sharing™ is selective disclosure, not publication. Authorized recipients view the evidence you permit; it does not become public, searchable, or indexed. Public display requires a separate, explicit authorization by the member.
